Description	:	Vivian Velma Wilhelmina (Kocian) Hafsaas, daughter of John and Helen (Jamber) Kocian, was born May 13, 1925, on a farm south of Bristow, Nebraska. Vivian died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at the Butte Healthcare Center in Butte, Nebraska. Vivian was baptized as an infant at St. Mary's in Spencer, Nebraska. She attended country school in District #72 and District #14, before the family moved, and Vivian attended Spencer High School, graduating in 1942. Read More	Vivian Velma Wilhelmina (Kocian) Hafsaas, daughter of John and Helen (Jamber) Kocian, was born May 13, 1925, on a farm south of Bristow, Nebraska. Vivian died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at the Butte Healthcare Center in Butte, Nebraska. Vivian was baptized as an infant at St. Mary's in Spencer, Nebraska. She attended country school in District #72 and District #14, before the family moved, and Vivian attended Spencer High School, graduating in 1942. After high school, Vivian taught school for two years in District #68 south of Butte, Nebraska. She then taught one year at District #14, the same school she had attended as a child. On February 10, 1945, Vivian was married to Glen "Bud" Hafsaas, at the Lutheran Parsonage in Bristow, Nebraska. Vivian and Bud lived five years on the Hafsaas Ranch at Fort Randall, and then moved to a farm one mile north of Bristow, where they lived for ten years. Later, Vivian and Bud moved to the Estel Angel farm south of Spencer, where they lived for sixteen years. Bud passed away on August 26, 1978, and Vivian moved to her home in Spencer, where she lived until she moved into the Highland House of Spencer in 2005. Vivian loved the outdoors, especially the wildflowers. She liked to dance, attending many dances with her husband during their married lives. Vivian is survived by: nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Vivian was preceded in death by: parents, John and Helen Kocian and husband, Glen "Bud" Hafsaas. Burial was in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Bristow, NE.
