Description	:	JONESVILLE - Vonda Otheda Swaim McBride, 90, passed away Sunday October 31, 2010 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. She was born November 18, 1919 to the late Ernest & Julia Nicholson Swaim Wagoner. She was a resident of Heritage Care for the past 3 years. She grew up in Jonesville where she was an Artist and taught Art and Crafts. Vonda worked with her family at the Dinner Bell Restaurant. Read More	JONESVILLE - Vonda Otheda Swaim McBride, 90, passed away Sunday October 31, 2010 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. She was born November 18, 1919 to the late Ernest & Julia Nicholson Swaim Wagoner. She was a resident of Heritage Care for the past 3 years. She grew up in Jonesville where she was an Artist and taught Art and Crafts. Vonda worked with her family at the Dinner Bell Restaurant. She retired from Chatham Manufacturing Company and worked at Elkin Hospital in the dietary department. Her favorite job was writing for the newspaper. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jonesville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years Clyde McBride, a sister Edna Ingool, and four brothers Garland Swaim, Buddy Swaim, Alvis Swaim and E. L. Swaim. Surviving are her daughters, Betty Jane Mickey and Lenetta Frawley; four grandchildren, Greg Mickey, Melinda Stroupe, Doug Frawley and Patrick Frawley, Jr.; and seven great-grandchildren: Meredith Mickey, Hannah Mickey, Austin Haynes, Ryan Haynes, Julia Haynes, Landon Frawley and Liam Frawley. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Jonesville. Her Funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Jonesville by the Rev. Roger Hensley and the Rev. Charles Lethcoe. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Heritage Care and the Hospice staff of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital for their loving care given to Mrs. McBride. Flowers will be accepted or memorials made to the First Baptist Church in Jonesville Po Box 98 Jonesville, NC 28642 or to the donor's choice.
