He was born April 10, 1934 in Appanoose County, Iowa, the son of Rex and Lola(Lewis)Hall. Dean spent his early years in Cincinnati; as a teenager, he moved to the Green Mountain area with his family. He served in the military from 1957-1959. Dean was married to Mary Nelson on December 31, 1960. She passed away April 15, 1977. He later married Mary Jo Hatfield on June 26, 1993. They made their home in Cincinnati, Iowa. He was employed at Home Furniture in Marshalltown from 1960 until 1978 when the store closed. Later, Dean drove a truck for several years and he also managed a Harley Davidson shop in Arkansas. Upon retirement, Dean moved back to his home town of Cincinnati, Iowa and married Mary Jo. Dean enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, riding his horses and riding his Harley with friends. He is survived by his wife Mary Jo Hall of Cincinnati, Iowa; his children, Steven(Elizabeth)Hall, Lorrie(Glen)Riese, Marty(Nancy)Hatfield, Leland(Susan)Hatfield and Naomi(Rocky)Young; grandchildren, Anna(Jason)Stringer, Amanda Hall, Cody Riese, Brandon Hatfield, Tasha(Brandon)Irving, Jessica, Victoria and Nathanial Hatfield; great grandchildren, Zack and Logan Stringer, Adam, Mackenzee and Jadyn Hatfield; brothers, Don(Ellen)Hall and Gary(Joanie)Hall; sister, Elaine Turnbull; brother-in-law, Richard Brewer; sister-in-law, Rondella Hall; and several nieces and nephews. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Lola Hall; brother, Dick Hall; and sister, Marjorie Richeson an d Floy Brewer. Memorial services will be held at 11 am Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Pastors Terry Chapman and Ken Mehrhoff officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Cincinnati, Iowa. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 am until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the family of Dean Hall and may be given to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St. Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
