Might have been Eades in later generations as shown by the grave next to his (William R. Eades) who appears to be his grandson. He was buried at Liberty on Sunday. Rev. S.A. Gary conducting the funeral obsequles. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved family" a follow up to this obituary was printed the following week: The Easley Messenger, January 11, 1884 "In our last issue, in speaking of the death of Riley Eads, we stated that he had been playing the violin at a party, which was a mistake. There was no party at his neighbor's house where he had been playing." Note the original obituary mentioned a party but not that he had been playing the violin.
