Wallace Byram (error) Watson was born in Fitchville, Ohio, May 22nd 1847 and died at his home in Decatur on Sept 16, 1920. Mr. Watson moved to Burt County when he was a young man and was united in marriage to Eva Ophelia Washburn, to them were born two sons, Ivan V. who died in infancy and Devillo Brook, who survives him. His wife died in Hot Springs, SD May 21, 1895. On June 29, 1897 he was married to Maggie E. Beck who is left to mourn his death. The last rites were held from his home in Decatur Saturday Sept. 18, 1920 at 2pm. The Rev. Graham assisted by Rev. Slater took for his text the 17th Chapter of Luke 11 to 15. Mr. Watson was a Christian man, his deeds and acts of kindness were many helping the widow and orphan and the aged. Whoever approached all were sure of a cordial greeting.
