His birthplace was listed as Hanson County, South Dakota. He was the second born of three children. His siblings were Winifred born in 1908 and Blanche Grace in 1921. The children attended the rural school which was most likely taught by a Lowry relative. He was a graduate of the college in South Dakota. He taught high school as a math teacher and later a superintendant of the Turner County Schools. He married Elsie Hyde with the home having relative Emma Hyde living there. He knew his in-laws who respectively were born- O.M.(Kansas) and Ann Hyde(Iowa). His wife's grandmother lived in Mitchell, S.D. His brother in law/sister in laws were Margaret, Olive, and James Hyde. They were blessed with four children-Karen (1937-1999)her husband(Daniel Davis); and Judith Mae (James Travis)Weathersb/Butler 2nd marriage), Margaret(husband Kenneth Nield) and Robert. There were eleven grandchildren one of whom was Ronnie Joe who was born 2/8/1966). Wallace was laid to rest where he passed in Hidalgo County, Texas. His daughter Karen and he were preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Ellen Jane Lowry(Joseph) Davidson in Alexandria, South Dakota and his maternal great grandparent Robert and Mary (McCann) Lowry of County Down, Ireland. He had numerous nieces and nephews- Blackman, Caldwell, Dunn, Mcmaster, Allen, and maternal Uncles Henry, Robert, David, and John Lowry all of County Down, Ireland that passed before him. His cousins of Janesville, WI. carry on his Lowry roots and maintain his eternal grave site online by cousin Colleen Lowry.
