Description	:	WALTER DRURY Retired Local Doctor Walter A. Drury, M.D., 80, died unexpectedly July 19. Born in Willard, he graduated from Willard High School I 1935, the University of Notre Dame in 1939 and Western Reserve Medical School in 1943. He served as a captain in the Army during World War II. In 1946, he entered into medical practice with his father-in-law, Dr. J.C. Steiner in Willard and continued his medical and surgical practice with Dr. J.V. Drury, M.D., 80, died unexpectedly July 19. Born in Willard, he graduated from Willard High School I 1935, the University of Notre Dame in 1939 and Western Reserve Medical School in 1943. He served as a captain in the Army during World War II. In 1946, he entered into medical practice with his father-in-law, Dr. J.C. Steiner in Willard and continued his medical and surgical practice with Dr. J.V. Emery and Dr. John Rosso until retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Steiner Drury; five children, Dr. John and Mary Ann Drury of Huron; Rosanna McGovern of Rosemont, Ill., Margaret Drury of Huron; Mary Kay and Ed Kray of Keezletown, Va., and Jean Drury of Maumee; nine grandchildren and other close relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, A.J. and Vesta Drury and a brother, Raymond Drury, who was killed in Italy in WWII. A funeral service was held at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Paul Perry officiating. Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery of Willard. Funeral arrangements were handled by the Secor Funeral Home of Willard. Willard Times-Junction, July 1997
