Description	:	CUMBERLAND — Walter Albert Fraley Jr., 86, of the Lions Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Braddock Road, died Monday, Feb. 21, 1994, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born May 13, 1907 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Walter A. Fraley Sr. and Viola Louise (Gerdeman) Fraley. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret (Keech) Fraley, in 1978 and his second wife, Frances (Chapman) Fraley, in 1993. Read More	CUMBERLAND — Walter Albert Fraley Jr., 86, of the Lions Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Braddock Road, died Monday, Feb. 21, 1994, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born May 13, 1907 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Walter A. Fraley Sr. and Viola Louise (Gerdeman) Fraley. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret (Keech) Fraley, in 1978 and his second wife, Frances (Chapman) Fraley, in 1993. Mr. Fraley attended Catherman’s Business School and Northwestern University, where he studied public relations and graduated from the School of Banking. He retired from Liberty Bank, where he had been a senior vice president. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church; Council #586, Knights of Columbus; fourth degree, Knights of Columbus, Chief Justice Taney Assembly: and Wamba Caravan#89, Order of Alhambra. He was Past Exalted Ruler, Benevolent and Protected Order of Elks, Lodge #63. Surviving are two daughters, Janis Marie Furman, Hagerstown; and Sandra Ann Sawyers, and husband Michael, Rawlings; one step-daughter, Marianne Chapman Smith, and husband Dennis, Cumberland; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and a special niece, Anne Brusca. Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home on Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Wednesday at noon with the Rev. Eric Gauchat as the celebrant. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jake Sawyers, Seth Sawyers, Ryan Sawyers, Bradford Smith, Christopher Smith and Joseph George.
