Description	:	ZOBELL WALTER ALBERT (ZIP) ZOBELL passed away on July 23, 2006 in the Raymond Hospital of causes incident to age. Zip, as he was affectionately known, was born November 12, 1909 in Raymond to Walter ZoBell and Charlotte Mehew ZoBell. He was a farmer and remained forever linked to the land. During the depression he supplemented his salary by hauling coal and other commodities. In 1939, Zip married Norma Murray, a school teacher, from Neepawa, Manitoba. Zip, as he was affectionately known, was born November 12, 1909 in Raymond to Walter ZoBell and Charlotte Mehew ZoBell. He was a farmer and remained forever linked to the land. During the depression he supplemented his salary by hauling coal and other commodities. In 1939, Zip married Norma Murray, a school teacher, from Neepawa, Manitoba. Zip and Norma made their home four miles west of Raymond. He farmed raising grains, sugar beets and beef cattle. In 1970, Zip semi-retired from farming and they moved to Raymond to live with Zip's widowed mother. During his retirement years, Zip worked a few years for Garth Galbraith on a Calgary golf course. Zip and Norma were happily married and when Norma died in 2000, he missed her acutely. His children will always remember his frequent trips to the cemetery, which visits always concluded with his plaintive, "Bye Normie, I will see you soon." He is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings: Reed (1907), Bob (1985), Bill (1998), Marie Kinsey (2000), and Ethel Norman (2004). He is survived by his brother, John (Doris), and sister, Ella Galbraith of Raymond; his children; Art (Marilyn) and Bonnie of Raymond; Roberta/Bobbie (Paul) Peterson of Lehi, Utah, and Jack (Louise) of Stirling; 19 grandchildren and 47+ great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Taylor Street Chapel, Raymond, AB.
