Description	:	STEPHENS, WALTER B.—Walter B. Stephens passed away at Ingleside, Neb., December 9, 1953, at the age of 94 years, 8 months and 5 days. He had been hospitalized since 1919. He was born at Ross, Worchestershire, England, April 4, 1859. Mr. Stephens located in Geneva in 1898 and conducted a shoe store on the east side of the block. The family came from Seward. Read More	STEPHENS, WALTER B.—Walter B. Stephens passed away at Ingleside, Neb., December 9, 1953, at the age of 94 years, 8 months and 5 days. He had been hospitalized since 1919. He was born at Ross, Worchestershire, England, April 4, 1859. Mr. Stephens located in Geneva in 1898 and conducted a shoe store on the east side of the block. The family came from Seward. He later acted as custodian of the bank buildings. He had been a member of the Modern Woodmen of America many years. Mr. Stephens' wife passed away in Geneva, May 30, 1899, and was buried in the Geneva cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Stephens were the parents of two sons, Gerald, now of Taft, Cal., and Edmund. Funeral services were held at the Kritner-Ashby funeral home in Geneva at 2 p. m. Friday, December 11 Rev. L. E. Werner officiated. At the request of the son Gerald, Gerald Walton, secretary of the Geneva camp of the Modern Woodmen, made the funeral arrangements. Members of the camp acted as pallbearers. Interment was in the family plot in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal December 17, 1953 page 1.
