Description	:	Byron was a local football hero and well-known and respected resident of the area. During WW II Byron and Hazel ran the local telephone office at Ennis (Byron strung telephone lines all over the county and kept the equipment in good repair while Hazel was the telephone switchboard operator); he worked for the telephone company from 1942 to 1948. In the 1950s they purchased the Saunders Hotel at Ennis, which they had helped to run with Byron's parents for many years. He was also one of the original organizers of the Madison Valley Fire Department.	Byron was a local football hero and well-known and respected resident of the area.
