Description	:	Obituary - Walter Andrews Funeral services for Walter Andrews, 93, were held Feb. 5 at Wiltse Chapel, Wayne. Mr. Andrews died Jan. 31 at Wayne. Rev. Cecil Bliss officiated at the rites. Mrs. Richard Arett, accompanied by Mrs. James Brown, sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "I Shall See Wm Face to Face." Pallbearers were Glenn Walker, Yale Kessler, David Theophilus, Elray Rinehart, Ross Porterfield and Loren Washburn. Burial was in Plankinton Cemetery, Plankinton, S. D. Walter Clarence Andrews, son of William G. and Mary E. Andrews, was born July 21, 1874 at Benton, Crawford County, Ohio. In 1882 he came with his parents to South Dakota. He lived there until 1889 when he moved to Nebraska. He was married in May 1902 to Jessie Sageser, who died in April, 1918. He came to Wayne in 1906. With the exception of a few years, he spent the rest of his lifetime in Wayne. He became a member of First Methodist Church, Wayne, in 1923 and worked many years in the Church. He was married May 28, 1924 to Mrs. Ada Rennick. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a sister and a brother. Survivors include a nephew, Lyle W. Mabbott; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Fred (Lynette) Landini, Burbank, Calif., Mrs. Gust (Erma) Jacobs, Gillette, Wyo., and Mrs. Ralph (Eleanor) Parker, Elkland, Mo.; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
