He had been a patient for some time previous to his death in the Page Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Frances Clift and Newton Taylor and was born in Page County and lived in the Valleyburg section in Luray where he was a member of the Luray Christian Church. He had been a patient for some time previous to his death in the Page Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Frances Clift and Newton Taylor and was born in Page County and lived in the Valleyburg section in Luray where he was a member of the Luray Christian Church. He was united in marriage with Lucinday Hester Sisk, who preceded him in death January 17, 1955. Surviving are four daughters and two sons, Mrs. Mattie Sours and Mrs. Zula Sisk, of Stanley, Mrs. Della Dodson, of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Essie Jenkins, of Baltimore, Md., E. Bernie Taylor, of Elkton, and L. Cecil Taylor, of Woodville, Va. Two daughters are deceased. He is also survived by one sister and two brothers, Mrs. Nora May, of Shenandoah, Charles Taylor, of Stanley, and Theodore Taylor, of Martinsburg, W.Va. He also leaves 37 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 11, at 3 p.m. from the Luray Christian Church with the Rev. Orville Martin and Rev. James H. Fox, Jr., officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
