Mueller, the son of Carl and Katherine (Helmers) Mueller, was born April 8, 1922 at Osmond. He died November 1 at his home in Creighton. He attended Breslau School and worked for the Burlington Railroad before entering the armed services on December 5, 1942. As a WWII veteran he earned the Silver Star and the Purple Heart awards. After his discharge he was employed by White Motor Company in Plainview and since 1965 at Naprstek Motor Company in Creighton. He married Opal L. Schacklett on November 27, 1942 at Neligh. They were the parents of three daughters. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and VFW Post 1151 both in Creighton. Survivors include his wife, Opal, daughters, Bonnie Mueller and Vickie Mueller, both of Creighton and Ellen Williams of Neligh and sisters, Mrs. Melvin (Alma) Mortinson of Plainview, Freida of Gretna and Ruth Shoemaker of California.
