Description	:	Walter E. Myers, eldest child of Henry and Louisa Hodkinson Myers, was born in York County Neb., on July 4, 1884 and passed May 4, 1978, at Exeter, Neb., at the age of 93 years, 10 months. He lived all his life in this part of Nebraska. He farmed for many years and later worked in Exeter. On September 3, 1919, he was married to Minnie M. Schneider of Fairmont, in Lincoln, Neb. Myers, eldest child of Henry and Louisa Hodkinson Myers, was born in York County Neb., on July 4, 1884 and passed May 4, 1978, at Exeter, Neb., at the age of 93 years, 10 months. He lived all his life in this part of Nebraska. He farmed for many years and later worked in Exeter. On September 3, 1919, he was married to Minnie M. Schneider of Fairmont, in Lincoln, Neb. To this marriage were born six children. They observed their golden wedding anniversary. Preceding him in death were his wife, Minnie, and three daughters, Vivian, Betty and Mytris. In passing, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Doris (Dale) Oates of Exeter, Neb.; two sons, Bernard and his wife, Sue, of Fountain, Col., Henry and his wife, Ida, of Fremont, Neb.; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. The memorial services were held Saturday morning, May 6, at the Farmer Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Rev. Homer B. Clements conducted the service. Robert Rhodes sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere", and was accompanied o the piano by Mrs. Evelyn Mitchell. The casket bearers were Jerry Chapman, Monte Chapman, Clarence Schneider, Clifford Schneider, Harold Schneider and Phil Schwab. Interment was made in the Exeter Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal May 11, 1978.
