He next married Estelle (Gilman) Hall March 16, 1907, and by 1910 he was residing with his father and brother James in a boarding house in Fairfield, Maine. He next married Caroline "Caddie" (Hovey) Foss on June 1, 1918. They resided in Waterville, along with Caddy's daughter, Charlotte Gussie (Foss), and her husband, Edward C. Stanley, and Charlotte's daughter from a prior marriage. His wife Caddie died in 1920. Walter, at age 48, married his 4th wife, Elizabeth Bell Lynch, on October 29, 1921. He moved to Waterville around 1932 and from 1930 on he is living with Estelle.
