He came to Rocky in 1935 and was married here in 1938 to Iola Darby. They lived in Nordegg three years, then returned to Rocky. He was a member of the Kinsmen Club and the Curling club and served two terms on the town council. He is survived by his wife and young son, Marlin; his mother...[sentence missing] Iiam, Olympia, Wash.; John, Rochester, N.Y.; and Albert, a patient in the military hospital, London, Ont.; seven sisters, Mrs. Pauline Walcott and Mrs. Elma McGladrie, Erskine; Mrs. Emma Leitch, Olympia; Mrs. Rose Hitchen, Peru, South America; Mrs. Bertha Schwartz, Red Deer; Mrs. Esther Knoepfli, Whitlaw, Alta.; and Mrs. Helen Tainsh, Calgary. Rev. B. S. S. Hartley conducted the funeral service, and burial was in the local cemetery.
