Mr. Edwards was born in Conway, SC, a son of the late William Graddy Edwards and Marie Ryan Edwards. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Mr. Edwards was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #65 of Conway, the D.A.V., and the American Legion. Mr. Edwards was born in Conway, SC, a son of the late William Graddy Edwards and Marie Ryan Edwards. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Mr. Edwards was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #65 of Conway, the D.A.V., and the American Legion. He was the Past Lay Chaplain at Centenary United Methodist Church, Volunteer Chaplain at Conway Medical Center, Volunteer Chaplain at Kingston Nursing Center, Past Assistant Volunteer for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief. Mr. Edwards was a US Air Force Veteran having served for 21 years. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Edwards. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Mary Elizabeth Edwards of Conway; two sons, Donald Eugene Edwards and wife Catherine of Conway, John Martin Edwards and wife Melba of Beaverton, Oregon; two daughters, Connie Edwards Altman of Conway, and Judy Elizabeth Kospa and husband Joe of Myrtle Beach; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jimmy Edwards of Moncks Corner and Lewis Edwards of Conway; four sisters, Ann Smith of Conway, Louise Jordan of Conway, Rebecca Chestnut of Conway, and Lib Stanley of Kingstree. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Centenary United Methodist Church with Rev. Troy Metzner officiating. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Mausoleum with full Military Honors and Masonic Rites directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
