Born September 5, 1961 in Tryon, NC, he was the son of Emily Irene Foster Blackwell of Spartanburg, SC and the late Ray Blackwell. Surviving is a daughter, Nannette Lynn Blackwell of Spartanburg; brother, Ronald Lynn Blackwell and wife Lisa Garcia of Boiling Springs; sister-in-law, Teresa Blackwell of Spartanburg; three nieces; and three nephews.
