Rhoten, who served as superintendent of the Whiteoak School in the 1930's and early 1940's, was a member of the Westerville Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Brown Rhoten; one daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Weber, Evanston, Ill.; two grandchildren; three brothers, Robert, Scottsdale, Ariz., Francis and Phillip, Fitchburg, Mass. Services were held Thursday at 2 P.M. at the Moreland Funeral Home, 104 East College Avenue, Westerville, with Rev. Richard P. Coad officiating and burial following in Otterbein Cemetery at Westerville.
