Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. Mr McDonald died Thursday night in a Florence infirmary where he had been a patient several weeks. Born in Georgetown April 4 1886 he was a son of Walter Herbert McDonald and Mrs Etta Capers Croft McDonald. He was employed by the Gulf Oil Corporation 27 years until his retirement a few years ago. For the last three years he had served as county game warden. Surviving are his widow the former Miss Marion Bernice McDonald his step mother Mrs CB McDonald of Charleston a daughter Mrs Emily McDonald Sims of Georgetown whose husband Lieutenant James Johnson Sims of Easley is a German prisoner of war two sons Corporal Walter Stuart McDonald US Army of Camp Houze Texas and Walbern McDonald of Georgetown until recently in the US Navy; one brother Julius S McDonald of Georgetown a half brother Edward McDonald of Brooklyn NY a half sister Miss Selma McDonald of Charleston and numerous nieces and nephews.
