Description	:	ISLEY, WALTER JAMES—Walter James Isley, son of Addie Kreachbaum and David Isley, was born in Bennett township, Fillmore county, Nebraska, March 1,1904. He passed away after a lingering illness at his home January 10, 1955, at the age of 50 years 10 months and 10 days. He lived in the same immediate vicinity all his life. Read More	ISLEY, WALTER JAMES—Walter James Isley, son of Addie Kreachbaum and David Isley, was born in Bennett township, Fillmore county, Nebraska, March 1,1904. He passed away after a lingering illness at his home January 10, 1955, at the age of 50 years 10 months and 10 days. He lived in the same immediate vicinity all his life. Walter was a graduate of Geneva high school, class of 1924. After three years of teaching rural schools, he engaged in farming which became his life's occupation. November 22, 1933, he was united in marriage to Henrietta Ackermann of Grafton. To this union three children were born, David, Ronald and Adeline. July 12, 1953, he and his family joined the First Congregational church in Geneva and he enjoyed its fellowship as long as his health permitted. He was a member of the Geneva Odd Fellow Lodge No. 65 and was a past grand. He was also a member of Silver Link Rebekah lodge No. 14. Since joining Odd Fellows he had been devoted to his obligations. He was awarded two meritorious service emblems, one a gold emblem for securing 50 members and a bronze for securing 10 members. Those who mourn his passing are his wife Henrietta, three children, David, Ronald and Adeline; four sisters, Mrs. Mae Sedersten of Lincoln, Mrs. Bertha Meyers of Des Moines, Ia., Mrs. Jessie Oldenburg and Mrs. Mary Dahlbeck of Sutton; two brothers, Edward and George of Grafton, nineteen nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Geneva Congregational church at 2 p. m. Thursday, January 13. Rev. L. E. Werner officiated. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery with the Geneva Odd Fellow lodge conducting the ritualistic service at the grave. The Nebraska Signal January 20th, 1955 page 9.
