He was reared and educated in Wayland and Washington, Iowa. Mr. Kiesey was married November 30, 1922 to Ernestine Vanatta in Washington. He was formerly employed by the American Pearl Button Company, Washington Manufacturing Company, a member of the city police, and a Washington County deputy sheriff, and became Washington County Assessor in 1948. He was a member of the Washington Methodist Church, Rotary Club, Iowa State Association of Assessors, and Iowa State Association of County Officers. Walter Kiesey is survived by his wife; two sons, Donald of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and Robert of Washington; one daughter, Mrs. Max ( Laurine ) Owens of Washington; five brothers, Stanton of Washington, Ted of West Chester, Samuel of Taylor Ridge, Illinois, and Raymond and Dale, both of Mayfield, Kentucky; four sisters, Mrs. Ella Knott, Mrs. Russell Knot, Mrs. Elsie Davidson, and Mrs. Ethel Burham, all of Washington; and 7 grandchildren.
