Earl Page officiated. Lawson died Wednesday October 10th at the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. Walter Richard "Jim" Larson was born to John and Martha (Garrison) Lawson on June 24th 1901 in Norwich Iowa. Earl Page officiated. Lawson died Wednesday October 10th at the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. Walter Richard "Jim" Larson was born to John and Martha (Garrison) Lawson on June 24th 1901 in Norwich Iowa. His early years were spent in that community and there he received his early education graduating from Clarinda High School in 1922. He then attended Iowa State University. Following his schooling he returned to Clarinda where he entered the oil business. He moved to Spencer in the early 1930s where he continued in the oil business. He was married to Alice Marie Lundblad on December 27th 1936 in Spencer. In 1965 they moved to Miller's Bay where they have lived since. He was a member the First Congregational Church of Spencer the Evening Shade lodge number 328. A.F. & A. M. of Spencer and the Eagles Lodge in Spencer. Survivors include his wife Alice of Miller's Bay one daughter Mrs. John (Sharon) Swenning of Spencer. Seven grandchildren, one great-grandson, one sister Mrs. Ola Hughes of Clarinda,many nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons Richard and Robert and three brothers. Warner Funeral Home in Spencer was in charge of the arrangements.
