He was a member of Bloomingvale Baptist Church. He was survived by his mother of Andrews; his wife, Gwen Blanton Cox of Andrews; a son, Jason W. (Jennifer E.) Cox of Andrews; a sister, Carol C. Glock of Florence; two brothers, Aubrey Cox of Georgetown and Woody Cox of Andrews; and a granddaughter, Jordyn Grace Cox of Andrews. Funeral services were Wednesday, September 15, 2004, in Bloomingvale Baptist Church. The Rev. Earl Alford officiated. Burial, directed by Mayer Funeral Home, followed in Piney Forest Cemetery.
