He was one of the early settlers of the county,having located at or near Walnut Grove way back in the fifties. He removed from there in later years but returned to Nevada, where he made his home with a daughter.He was a man of worth and character and enjoyed the respect of those who knew him. Jeverna Bullock Mulligan notes- I am positive that this is Walton Womack not David. I have the pension records that he received because of his son David Womack's death in Allatoona, Georgia, 10 Oct 1864. The pension records listed the death date and place of Walton B Womack in Nevada, Iowa Since 2 daughters Nancy Womack and Jane Womack Stahlman(no stone) are buried in the same section I am assuming that Walton is here also. Another daughter Margaret E Womack Scott (no stone) and son John E Womack are also in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.
