She passed away August 6, 2005, at the Bryan/LGH West Hospital in Lincoln, at the age of 47 years, 10 months and 24 days. Wanda grew up living on a farm in both the Aurora and Bradshaw areas. She attended Aurora Public Schools through the eighth grade, and graduated from Bradshaw High School in May 1976. She attended and graduated in 1979 from Colorado Institute of Art in Denver, Colo. She also attended and graduated from Central Community College in Hastings as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior as a young child while attending Bible School. Rev. Abraham Krause at Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson, where she was a lifelong member, baptized her May 18, 1975. On March 5, 1982, she was united in marriage to Lowell R. Johnson at Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson by Rev. Albert H. Epp. God blessed the couple with three children. After Lowell and Wanda were married, they resided in Fillmore county until the time of her death. Wanda loved living on the farm and being with her family. She loved animals, especially horses. She also like being outside, and working with her flowers. Her favorite flower, the rose, is symbolized by the five roses in her casket representing her husband and her four children. Wanda enjoyed vacations with her family, working in the nursing profession, and she enjoyed painting and drawing. She was a very talented artist. Wanda was preceded in death by her father, Jacob H. Buller, father-in-law Ross Johnson, brother-in-law, Russell Klingenberg, grandparents, aunts and uncles. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Lowell; three children Eric and his wife, Jessie (King), Justin and Ross Johnson; mother, Sophia Buller; brothers and sisters, Marvin Buller and wife, Pat, Darlene Powell, Dianne Buller, Ardell Buller, Kristi and her husband, Curt Jensen, Paul Buller and his wife RaNee; mother-in-law Sylvia Johnson; brother-in-law, Hubert Johnson and wife Frances; sister-in-law, Linda and her husband, Lou Schafer; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were conducted from the Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva, on Thursday, August 11, with Rev. Wilton Detweiler officiating. The Salem Mixed Quartet sang “Rock of Ages” and “Blessed Assurance.” A recorded selection “Go Rest High on that Mountain” by Vince Gill was also played during the service. Casket bearers were Eric, Justin and Ross Johnson, Marvin, Ardell, and Paul Buller. Interment was in the Geneva Public Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal August 17th, 2005 page 5.
