Wanda was born on February 5, 1921 on a farm near Melbourne, IA, the daughter of Albert and Maida (Vogt) Damman. She grew up in the area of her birth. After graduating from Melbourne school in 1938, she attended Iowa Teachers collage In Iowa Falls for one year and then taught school near Melbourne. She was united in marriage to Milo J. Wanda was born on February 5, 1921 on a farm near Melbourne, IA, the daughter of Albert and Maida (Vogt) Damman. She grew up in the area of her birth. After graduating from Melbourne school in 1938, she attended Iowa Teachers collage In Iowa Falls for one year and then taught school near Melbourne. She was united in marriage to Milo J. Olson on December 31, 1942 in Roswell, NM. The couple lived in Santa Ana, CA for a short time before moving back to Iowa. They farmed north of LeGrand until they moved to Marshalltown in 1974. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Wanda helped Milo with the farming and she was employed in the business office at the Marshalltown Hospital from 1963 until her retirement in 1977. Milo and Wanda always enjoyed wintering in Tucson, AZ. She also enjoyed shuffle board, traveling, and playing cards - but, most of all, she dearly loved her husband, children and grandchildren. She will be missed her three children: Alan (Janice) Olson of Lakeville, MN, Veryl (Lynne) Olson of Brooklyn Park, MN and Sharon Anderson of Marshalltown and six grandchildren. In eternal life, Wanda joins her parents; husband, Milo (Feb. 15, 2008), two brothers, Ralph and Arnold Damman; brother-in-laws, Norman Olson, Arnold Olson and sister-in-law, Agnes Wignall.
