Description	:	KEARNEY - Warren D. Boisen, 83, of Kearney died Thursday, March 8, 2007, at Good Samaritan Hospital. Services were held Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church in Minden with the Rev. Nicholas Baker officiating. He was born March 26, 1923, in Kearney County near Minden to Holger and Fern (Mueller) Boisen. On Jan. 28, 1946, he married Bernice L'Heureux. Services were held Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church in Minden with the Rev. Nicholas Baker officiating. He was born March 26, 1923, in Kearney County near Minden to Holger and Fern (Mueller) Boisen. On Jan. 28, 1946, he married Bernice L'Heureux. Survivors include his wife; son, Douglas of Minden; daughters, Mary Lieske and Carol Shada, both of Minden; sister, Shirley Harkness of Cozad; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include his son-in-law, Tom Lieske of Minden. He grew up in the Minden area and graduated from Minden High School in 1941. He later graduated from Hastings Business College. He worked in construction for a short time and then returned to farm near Minden. He and his wife, "Bea," lived and farmed near Minden. He also was a fur grader for many years. He retired in 1988 but continued to help out on the farm for many years. He and his wife moved to Summer Haven several years ago and wintered in Arizona for the last 35 years. They loved to travel and had enjoyed many trips over the years. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Minden and served on the building committee when the church was constructed. He also was a lifetime member of the Kearney Elks and was a member of the Flying Farmers in both Arizona and in Nebraska.
