His funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Our Savior Presbyterian Church, Argo, Iowa where he was a member. Burial will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Princeton. He was born July 20, 1909 in Princeton, the son of O. R. & Clara (McConnell) Hamilton and was a graduate of Clinton (IA) High School. On June 15, 1937, he was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Hogan in LeClaire, Iowa. She preceded him in death on November 6, 1987. On December 21, 1988, he was united in marriage to June M. Kruse in Argo, Iowa. She preceded him in death on April 15, 1994. Warren was a life-long farmer in Princeton and was also employed in the Box Shop and Roll Shop of the Alcoa Company for many years. In addition to the church, he was a member of the Alcoa Retirees Club, the Aluminum, Brick & Glassworker's Union Local 105, the Davenport Moose, the Clinton Moose, the Scott County Farm Bureau and the Princeton Lions. He also served on the Salem Lutheran Cemetery Board for many years. He loved life on the farm and enjoyed playing cards with his many friends and helping his son, Ken with stock car racing. Those left to honor his memory include his sons, Kenneth (Ann) Hamilton of Princeton and Charles (Connie) Hamilton of Winona, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Meredith Hamilton of Eldridge, Iowa, Aaron Hamilton of Princeton and Sue Hamilton of LeClaire, Iowa; his great-grandchildren, Bryce & Brittany of Eldridge; and many other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his first & second wives, his sister, Leola "Lee" Lundholm, preceded him in death.
