Description	:	He was born Sept. 13, 1915 in Albert City to Edward and Mary Monk Smith. Warren's mother died when he was two years old, and he made his home with uncles and friends, working on their farms while going to school. In March of 1931, Hinda Haroldson, Rembrandt, gave him a home to finish his schooling. He graduated from Rembrandt High School in 1935. Warren then auended Capital City Commercial College for two years, being employed by Look magazine in administration. He married Isabelle Powell in 1941 and began working for the Bank of America in Marysville, Calif., until he was inducted into the U.S. Army in September 1942. Warren served in the 1st Special Service Commando Unit in Italy before being assigned as a Liaison Officer to General Patton in Nuremberg, Germany. Warren resigned his commission in 1945 and returned to the Bank of America. He concluded nearly 40 years of service with the bsnk, retiring in 1977. During that period, he was married a second time to Elsie Powell. Warren moved to Alta in 1986, and he married Dorothy Church Jan. 21, 1988, in Las Vegas, Nev. They made their home in Alta. He was a member of Faith United Assembly of God Church, Storm Lake; VFW Post #6172 of Alta; and BP.O.E. Lodge #1636 of Storm Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife — Dorothy; three sons — Douglas, Richmond, Calif.; Philip, Fresno, Calif.; and Warren II, Hayward, Calif,; one daughter — Tamra Teixeira, Concord, Calif.; two stepdaughters — Jo Anne Domina, Clayton, Calif.; and Rosalind Parkening, St. Helena, Calif.; one sister — Evelyn Morris, Las Vegas; and 11 grandchildren
