Rochester and formerly of 18725 Farson Road, died at 11:05 p.m. February 24, 2015, at Hospice House. He was born January 27, 1921, in Hedrick, Iowa, to Willis R. and Freda Loos Lowenberg. He married Silvalona Bogard on April 7, 1946. She preceded him in death. He married Mary Leedom on June 28, 1974. Rochester and formerly of 18725 Farson Road, died at 11:05 p.m. February 24, 2015, at Hospice House. He was born January 27, 1921, in Hedrick, Iowa, to Willis R. and Freda Loos Lowenberg. He married Silvalona Bogard on April 7, 1946. She preceded him in death. He married Mary Leedom on June 28, 1974. A graduate of Farson High School in 1938 and Business College in Ottumwa, he served in the U.S. Navy. He farmed in the Hedrick & Farson area all of his life. He was a member of North Court Baptist Church. He had been a member of the Christian Union Chapel Church near Fremont, having served as an elder. He was a member of the Hedrick Lions Club. He loved to fish and sing. Surviving are his wife, Mary; two sons, David (Mary) Lowenberg of Huntsville, Missouri, and Randy (Diane) Lowenberg of Orrick, Missouri; a stepdaughter, Linda Pilcher of Orlando, Florida; a stepson-in-law, Jim Peden of Fremont; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Clint Leedom; a brother, Loren Lowenberg; a stepdaughter, Jean Peden and a stepson, Bud Leedom. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Hemmings officiating. Burial will be in McCormick Cemetery. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to North Court Baptist Church.
