Description	:	Warren R. Buck, the subject of this obituary was born near Lyons, on June 23, 1870. He departed this life at Macy on February 9, 1940 at the age of 69 years 7 months and 17 days. His death resulted from a heart attack. Mr Buck grew to manhood near Lyons. In 1893 he was united in marriage to Catherine Graves. Read More	Warren R. Buck, the subject of this obituary was born near Lyons, on June 23, 1870. He departed this life at Macy on February 9, 1940 at the age of 69 years 7 months and 17 days. His death resulted from a heart attack. Mr Buck grew to manhood near Lyons. In 1893 he was united in marriage to Catherine Graves. To this union were born 12 sons, namely George Rozell of Macy, Harold Warren of Sioux City, Lloyd B. and Charles Lester of South Sioux CIty, Howard M. of Sioux City, Glenn Martin who passed away 8 years ago, Wayne Norman of Macy, Forrest Emmett of South Sioux City, Clyde Stewart of Macy, and Chester Kenneth of Sioux City. Two other Sons passed away in infancy. In 1900, Mr. Buck moved to the Omaha Indian Reservation from Burt County and for about 12 years he was employed by the government as mail carrier. Moving to Rosalie in 1914 he worked as a carpenter until 1923 when he moved to Sioux City. Shortly after, he returned to Thurston County where he resided until he was called home. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Macy. Besides his nine sons, he leaves to mourn his departure a wife and brother Boyda Carlson, and two sisters, Mrs. William McKinzie and Mrs. Nova Phillips of Lyons, twenty-nine grandchildren and one great grandson. Funeral services were held at Macy on Sunday afternoon, conducted by Pastor, Charles F. Cox. Interment was at Lyons and Racely's Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements. The Head Stone shows year of death as 1939, however that is incorrect and the year 1940 in the obituary is correct accoding to Buck family members still alive and family records.
