Description	:	Warren Talmadge Poteat, Sr., age 76, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Poteat was a native of Spartanburg County and a son of the late Zeb and Sallie (Redmon) Poteat. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Poteat of the home; one son, Warren Poteat II and wife, Elizabeth; one brother, James Norfleet Poteat, Sr.; one sister, Nan Poteat and husband Charles of Spartanburg; two grandchildren, Warren "Trey" Poteat III and Sally Elizabeth Poteat. A graveside service was held Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery on Bryant Road with the Rev. Charles Hall and the Rev. Ty Childers to officiate. The family received friends following the service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions were made to Interim Healthcare and Hospice, 155 Deacon Tiller Court, Duncan, SC. 29334.
