Born Oct. 4, 1908, in Iowa, the son of Henry and Mary White Lucas, he was employed with Degeller Shows at Louisville. Mr. Lucas leaves his stepmother, Mrs. Blanche Lucas, Quaker City; one son, Gordon of California; two half brothers, Ira of Canton, William of Quaker City; three half-sisters, Mrs. Bernadine (Opal) Old Washington, Mrs. Mike (Icel) Carpenter, Quaker City, Mrs. George (Rosa) Nace, Barnesville. Two half sisters and a brother are deceased. Services will be at 1:30 pm Wednesday at Eberle Funeral Home with Evan McKinley Bates officiating. Burial will be in Friends cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 pm Monday and after 3 pm Tuesday. Warren, son of Charles Henry Lucas and Mary White, married 1st Lucile Holmes, daughter of Joseph Albert Holmes and Laura Belle Dillon on April 4, 1929, in Belmont, Ohio. Lucile died the following year. Dies in Hospital The death of Mrs. Warren W. Lucas, of Salesville, Oh, occurred Friday morning, Sept, 26, 1930, at Good Samaritan hospital. She was admitted to the institution in August for treatment of an illness. The body was taken to Quaker City pending funeral arrangements. Warren married 2nd Wilma May Crance, daughter of John Crance and Laura Fowler, on December 10, 1934. They divorced. Wilma later became known as Mrs. Benjamin Levi Jacks. Wilma died on Nov. 16, 1992. Warren married third Molly Purdy Neufang. Molly publicly denied the marriage, although her death record lists her as Molly Lucas, widowed. We know a separation occurred. Warren's death certificate says divorced. The Purdy family met Warren's son about 1948 or 1949. He is remembered as, perhaps, a very young teenager, but we are unable to recall his name. Warren was very nice to our grandpa Purdy and kept him clean and shaven. The extended Purdy family last saw Warren working at a street fair carnival in a small village in Ohio the summer of 1968 not realizing he died a very short time later. We wanted to thank him for caring for grandpa, but the encounter was very brief. He recognized us and said "don't tell Molly where I am" and we never did. The Lucas family were coal miners in Ohio with very little formal education. The 1950 census, Summit Co., Ohio Lucas, Warren. Age 40.
