Description	:	Lawrence E. Proud, 70, of 519 5th Ave. S., died suddenly Sunday in his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Snell-Smith funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be R. J. Isenhart. Robert Frame, Morris Cavanaugh, Robert Thielen, Glenn Anderson and Lawrence Greenwalt. Vivitation began today in the funeral home. Rev. Harold Wagner of Lyons M.E. Church will conduct funeral services. Church will conduct funeral services. Mr. Proud was born Aug. 11, 1898, in Leeds, Mo., the son of Anthony and Alice martin Proud. His marriage to Miss Minnie Whitaker took place March 22, 1919, in Wapello. He had lived in Clinton more than 40 years and was an employe of domestic Plumbing Co. and a former employe of Interstate Power Co., in the Clinton Street Railway Co. division. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Marvin E. and Paul Proud, both of Clinton; three daughters, Mrs. Joseph P. (Juanita) Golden, of Clinton, Mrs. Nancy Farwell of Black Creek, Wis and Mrs. donald (Alice) Mumm of Fresno, Calif.; four brothers, Rolland, Marvin, Calvin and Alvin Proud; all of Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Almetta Warning of Clinton. 18 grandhcildren and seven great-grandchildren.
