Description	:	Watson Leroy DeVore known as "Slim" died on September 15, 2015 at Cox South in Springfield Mo., due to an aneurysm. He was 96. Slim was born on July 22, 1919 in Messena, Iowa to his parents Guy and Bessie Harriet DeVore. Slim grew up as a middle child of seven siblings. In 1937 he married Marion Roland. Slim was blessed with a large and loving family of eight children. Read More	Watson Leroy DeVore known as "Slim" died on September 15, 2015 at Cox South in Springfield Mo., due to an aneurysm. He was 96. Slim was born on July 22, 1919 in Messena, Iowa to his parents Guy and Bessie Harriet DeVore. Slim grew up as a middle child of seven siblings. In 1937 he married Marion Roland. Slim was blessed with a large and loving family of eight children. He raised his family on an Iowa farm and later in 1968 moved to Buffalo, Mo. where he built houses and raised cattle until retirement. His joy in life was his family and teaching his grandchildren about life, form is favorite hobby of fishing to being respectful, and how to pick out their mates. His social agenda kept him drinking coffee with all his Buffalo friends in the mornings. He is preceded in death by his wife Marion his four brothers, three sons, and two daughters. Slim is survived by 3 Children: Leroy DeVore of Medford, Oregon, Larry DeVore of Dothun, Alabama, and daughter and son-in-law Veronica and Ron Neugebauer or Benton, Kansas. His brother Max Devore of Corning, Iowa and sister Marjorie DeBolt of Charles City, Iowa. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Daniel DeVore, Watson DeVore, Reggie DeVore, Tina Garvin, Elena DeVore, Nancy Vuylsteke, Jarad Cruse, Jason Neugebauer, Nicole Short, and Daniel Neugebauer. along with 14 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Funeral Services is 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 19, 2015 in the Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home with viewing at 1:00 p.m. before the service. Burial will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Ruthven, Iowa at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday September 22, 2015. Under the direction of the Montgomery Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
