Otto, 81, of Nevada died Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, of congestive heart failure at Rolling Green Village in Nevada. He married Ruby Hobson on Nov. 6, 1937, in Des Moines. Otto served as a paratrooper during World War II. He worked as a farmer, retiring in 1979. Otto was a member of Oddfellows in Nevada and enjoyed working and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a grandson. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 6, at First United Methodist Church in Nevada, with the Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Burial was held in the Evergreen Memory Gardens in Nevada. Memorials are preferred to Homeward Hospice in Ames.
