Description	:	Wayne A. Tourney, 72, of Shelton died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Graveside services were held Friday at Minden Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Berke Landrum officiating. He was born Jan. 20, 1932, in Kearney to Ivan and Josephine (Clemans) Tourney. On July 26, 1952, he married Verna Wilson. Survivors include his wife; sons, Michael of Shelton and Steven of Gibbon; daughter, Brenda Hughes of Alliance; brother, Les of Thornton, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was born Jan. 20, 1932, in Kearney to Ivan and Josephine (Clemans) Tourney. On July 26, 1952, he married Verna Wilson. Survivors include his wife; sons, Michael of Shelton and Steven of Gibbon; daughter, Brenda Hughes of Alliance; brother, Les of Thornton, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include his daughters-in-law, Susan of Shelton and Cathy of Gibbon; son-in-law, Mike Hughes of Alliance; and sister-in-law, Carol of Thornton. He grew up in the Kearney area. In 1957, he and his wife moved to California and later to Oregon. They moved to Gibbon in 1976 and moved to Shelton in 1987. He owned and operated Watco Metal Works in Gibbon and later in Shelton. The couple retired in 1998 and moved to Minden. They moved back to Shelton one year ago. He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, camping, restoring homes and being outside. His children remember him for his talent and ability to do just about anything. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
