Mr. Nickler died at 3:25 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at the home of his daughter, Brenda Fletcher, Carey. Mr. Nickler was born in Bucyrus Dec. 19, 1927, to Edward and Pearl (Snavely) Nickler. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. James (Janice) Sutter, Willard; Mrs. Milton (Phyllis) Brown, Shilo; and Mrs. Randy (Brenda) Fletcher, Carey; two sons, Wayne Nickler, Jr. and Roy D. Preceding him in death was a brother, Ed Nickler Jr. Mr. Nickler lived most of his life in Bucyrus. He enjoyed working at New Winchester Golf Course where he worked on course maintenance. He was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran. The body has been cremated. Wise Funeral Service, Bucyrus, handled arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County or the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
