Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 16 and Winter-Munson Post 1644, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Visitation will be Sunday, 3 - 9 p.m. at Home for Funerals. Mr. Cook died April 18 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lincoln. He was born May 20, 1919, at Hoskins to the late John and Fannie (Burton) Cook. He attended the Norfolk schools and served in the US Army in the South Pacific during WW II. For a number of years he was the manager of Kelly Supply Company, of which he was part-owner. He retired in 1984 and later lived for several years at Bella Vista, Ark., until moving to Lincoln in recent months. He was a member of the American Legion in which he had served twice as Post 16 commander and belonged to VFW Post 1644 and the First Presbyterian Church. He married Glynn Carrico on April 3, 1938 at Yankton, S. D. She survives as two daughters, Mrs. John (Judy) Lawler of Lincoln and Mrs. Lowell (Diana) Koerting of Amarillo, Texas; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Virgil Cook of Norfolk and Ethel Snyder of Billings, Mont.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
