Description	:	Wayne B. Roark, 65, of Gaffney, SC, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, August 8, 2005, at his residence. A native of Cherokee County, he was the husband of Vicki Seigler Roark and son of the late Thomas F. and Madge Culbertson Roark. He was a retired Transportation Director for Stouffers and was a member of Limestone Street United Methodist Church. Mr. Roark served six years in the National Guard. Mr. Roark was a graduate of Blacksburg High School and Clemson University. He was a former member of the Lions Club and was Chairman of the Finance Committee at Limestone... Read More	Wayne B. Roark, 65, of Gaffney, SC, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, August 8, 2005, at his residence. A native of Cherokee County, he was the husband of Vicki Seigler Roark and son of the late Thomas F. and Madge Culbertson Roark. He was a retired Transportation Director for Stouffers and was a member of Limestone Street United Methodist Church. Mr. Roark served six years in the National Guard. Mr. Roark was a graduate of Blacksburg High School and Clemson University. He was a former member of the Lions Club and was Chairman of the Finance Committee at Limestone Street United Methodist Church, where he also served as a Sunday School Teacher and member of the Mens Club. Also surviving are a son, Russell Wayne Roark and his wife Dawn of Clemson, SC; a daughter, Lynn Spurlin and her husband Bruce of Gaffney; two step-sons, Jay George of Gaffney, and David George and his wife Suzy of Galax, VA; a stepdaughter, Cathy George Carr and her husband Tommy of Concord, NC; a sister, Linda Roark Coleman and her husband George of Greenwood, SC; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Roark of Blacksburg, SC; and twelve grandchildren. Mr. Roark was preceded in death by his first wife, Jackie Seigler Roark; and his brother, Thomas Roark, Jr. The family received friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2005, at the residence. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2005, at Limestone Street United Methodist Church, with Rev. Ron Singleton and Rev. Steve Morgan officiating. Interment was at Frederick Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Limestone Street United Methodist Church, 910 N. Limestone St., Gaffney, SC 29340.
