Interment was at Riverside Cemetery. Wayne Douglas Westhoff, the son of Louis and Lorraine (Graff) Westhoff was born July 20th 1946 in Salem South Dakota. He received his education at St Mary's School in Salem and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1964. Following his graduation from high school he worked at the Feterl Manufacturing Company in Salem, South Dakota and later moved to Aberdeen South Dakota in 1966 and worked in the Hub City Iron for 3 years. In 1969 he moved to Spencer Iowa and was a Salesman for F&W Precasting. He then went to work for the Spencer Police Department on November 15th 1970 and obtained the rank of Captain. While living in Spencer Wayne was a very active member of the community. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Sunday January 2nd 2000 Wayne passed away at the Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls South Dakota after suffering a stroke at his home in Spencer he was 53 years of age and was preceded in death by his father and one brother Mark Wayne. He is survived by his fiance Teri Bird of Spencer, his three children Jahnel and her husband Clark Lawdensky of Bolingbrook, Illinois. Jason and his wife Jill of Mundelein Illinois, Shandra of Palestine Illinois.
