After college Wayne worked full time for his father George... Read More	Wayne E. Hiser (August 20, 1926 - October 7, 2014) Wayne E. Hiser, 88, of Iola, Kansas, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014. Wayne was born August 20, 1926 to George R. Hiser and Florence K. Zimmer. Wayne grew up in Iola, Kansas. After graduating Iola High School in 1944 he moved to New York for 6½ months and worked at Massey-Harris. Upon returning to Kansas he attended Central College for one year then K-State University for one year before attending college in Iola where he received his diploma. After college Wayne worked full time for his father George Hiser in the family business. In 1948 Wayne met Oleata H. Roberts through friends and they were married June 19, 1949 at the Free Methodist Church in Iola, KS. Wayne and Oleata just celebrated 65 years of marriage this year, June 19, 2014. Wayne and Oleata worked many years together in the family business, Hiser Implement Company in Iola, Kansas before closing the business and retiring in the Spring of 1999. Wayne Hiser is survived by his wife, Oleata Hiser of Iola and daughters Sandra Hiser Garver & husband, Steve Garver of Iola; Diana Hiser Miller & husband, Allen Miller of Wichita; grandchildren Vicki Garver Smith & husband, Dewayne Smith; Michael Garver & wife, Keri Garver; David and Wesley Miller; great-grandchildren Benjamin Smith, Dalton & Kristin Garver; Logan, Vincent & Parker Miller; and Wayne's sister Marjorie Mentzer and husband, Bill Mentzer. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Hiser, grandson, David Garver, his parents and siblings, George R. Hiser Jr., Florence Fursman, Kathryn Regehr and Gerald Hiser. VISITATION: 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church in Iola. BURIAL: Highland Cemetery, Iola, Kansas
