Description	:	Wayne "Mace" Eldon Moranville was born March 8, 1926 in Dana, Iowa to Henry Ellsworth Moranville and Blanche Pearl McCallan Moranville. Wayne grew up in Dana, Iowa and graduated from Dana High School in 1944 where he was a great basketball player. After graduating he drove a truck for Pounds in Dana. Read More	Wayne "Mace" Eldon Moranville was born March 8, 1926 in Dana, Iowa to Henry Ellsworth Moranville and Blanche Pearl McCallan Moranville. Wayne grew up in Dana, Iowa and graduated from Dana High School in 1944 where he was a great basketball player. After graduating he drove a truck for Pounds in Dana. He then joined the United States Army where he served in the Korean War. In 1951, Wayne was honorably discharged from the Army. In 1955, Wayne was united in marriage to Elsie Bradwell at the First United Methodist Church in Fort Dodge. They were the parents of two children: Marla and Roger. They made their home in Grand Junction. Wayne worked for over 20 years for Franklin in Jefferson until he retired. Wayne loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He died December 31, 2012 at his home in Grand Junction, Iowa at the age of 86. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Elsie in 2007; 5 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his daughter Marla Compton of Grand Junction, Iowa; his son Roger Moranville (and his friend Avis) of Jefferson, Iowa; sister Leone Peterson of Jefferson, Iowa; granddaughter Nicole Gohn of Webster City, Iowa; Grandsons Mike Moranville of Des Moines, Iowa and Ryan Simmer of Des Moines, Iowa; great-grandchildren: Corey Gohn, Chloe Anderson, Tyler Moranville and Jordan Moranville; other relatives and friends. Visitation will begin after 10:00 am Friday, January 4 at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from noon until the time of the service at 2:00 pm. Memorial Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, January 4, 2013 at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Jefferson. Burial will take place at a later date in the Junction Township Cemetery, Grand Junction, Iowa.
