Description	:	Wayne Franklin White, age 77, of Garden Grove, Iowa, the son of Leland Franklin and Dorothy May (Vasey) White, was born October 14, 1941, at Peru, Iowa. He died at the Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, Iowa on Friday, May 3, 2019. Read More	Wayne Franklin White, age 77, of Garden Grove, Iowa, the son of Leland Franklin and Dorothy May (Vasey) White, was born October 14, 1941, at Peru, Iowa. He died at the Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, Iowa on Friday, May 3, 2019. Wayne’s family lived in Peru, on a farm at Cambria, Iowa and then on a farm outside of Lineville, Iowa while he was growing up. In school he enjoyed singing and playing guitar with his brother, Dale. He also was athletic playing baseball, basketball, and boxing. He graduated from Lineville High School with the Class of 1960. He worked at Colonial Bakery in Des Moines, Iowa before starting his 33-year career at Decatur County, Iowa operating a road maintainer. He retired in 2003. He was married to Connie Bettis and blessed with two children, Rae Ellen and Jeff. They later divorced. While at a dairy cattle sale in 1983, Wayne met Kathy Jean Neal. On December 28, 1985, they were married in Lamoni, Iowa. They were blessed with one daughter, Felicia. Over the years Wayne and Kathy raised dairy cows and milked for a few years. They later raised Charolais cattle, registered Quarter horses, miniature horses, and currently have the dog kennel offering Maltese, Yorkie, and Shih Tzu puppies. Wayne’s favorite dog was the Coonhound. He also enjoyed coon hunting. He liked to talk to people and never knew a stranger. Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother-in-law, Christopher Neal. Survivors include his wife, Kathy White of Garden Grove, Iowa; children, Rae Ellen and Joe Cloke of New Virginia, Iowa, Jeff White of Garden Grove, and Felicia and Tom Crocker of North Liberty, Iowa; grandchildren, Meggan and Randy, Jessica and Adam, Ashley and Connor, Trevor and Teresa, and Mikala; eight great grandchildren plus two more expected soon; siblings, Dale White and Denise Briner of Eagleville, Missouri, Alice and Tom Tabb of Liberty, Missouri, Larry and Diane White of Garden Grove, and Rick and Brenda White of Grand River, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and many friends.
