Description	:	Found a nice obit for Wayne Hoskins. There is no Jeff, Illinois, but I found a census which listed the family in Jefferson, Wayne Co., Illinois. I think the family must have abbreviated it somewhere along the way. I left everything spelled just the way the paper had it tho. Hoskins, 78, of Anthon were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Anthon United Methodist Church. Mr. Hoskins passed away on Thursday, August 23, in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Rev. Forrest E. Flowers officiated at the services. Pallbearers were James Schram, Walter Sterrett, Jr., Everett Gothier, Wm. Renneker, Archie Lyon and Don Hamann. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Anthon under direction of the Walter Funeral Home. Masonic rites were conducted Friday evening by Cerulean Lodge 550 AF&AM. Wayne Henry Hoskins, son of William Henry and Ida Tanquary Hoskins, was born at Jeff, Illinois, July 9, 1895. He lived at Jeff until the age of 15 years, when he moved with his family to Nebraska. On July 14, 1917, Wayne and Bessie Rawlings were married at Scottsbluff, Nebraska. They resided in Nebraska and later moved to Iowa before going to Rockport, Missouri. Mr. Hoskins was employed as an accountant and later was partner in the Rockport Sales Pavillion. They moved to Anthon, Iowa, in 1950 and spent the remainder of his life in this community. Mr. Hoskins was a member of the United Methodist Church of Anthon and of Cerulean Lodge 550 AF&AM at Anthon. He is survived by his wife, Bessie of Anthon; two daughters, Mrs. A.R. (June) Reynolds of Greeley, Colorado; and Mrs. Charles (Mary Jo) Lyon of Anthon; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one brother, Guy T. Hoskins of Jeff, Illinois. He was preceded in death by is parents, two brothers, a sister and an infant son, Wayne, Jr.
