Read More	* IN LOVING MEMORY OF * Wayne Caster was born on Sunday; May 24, 1936 at the family home east of Eldora; Hardin County, Iowa. He was youngest son of: Everett and Orpha (Carter) Caster. Wayne graduated from the Union High School in 1952. Beginning at the age of 18, he served our country honorably in the United States Air Force for four years including one year stationed at a RADAR station in Alaska. On March 1, 1963, he was united to Becky Bernard in Omaha; Douglas County, Iowa. Union; Hardin County, Iowa has been home to the Casters where they owned and operated Wayne's AG Market, Caster's Meats and the Union Supper Club. He was a passionate supporter of the Union community. Wayne was a member of the Union Community Church, the South Hardin Rec. Center and American Legion Post #255. Wayne will be fondly remembered for his love of family, fishing, hunting, being a happy-go-lucky type of guy that would do anything for you. He was also a licensed pilot. Wayne Caster, age: 75, passed away on Friday; August 19, 2011 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines; Polk County, Iowa. Those left to mourn his passing are: His loving wife of 48 years: Becky, his son: Curt (Teresa) Caster and their children: Anthony, Amanda and Reylynn all of Wichita; Sedgwick County, Kansas and Kelley (Paul) Oetker and their children: Jaymee and Hayden all of Marshalltown; Marshall County, Iowa. His sisters: Reva (Ludwig) Dostal of Toledo; Tama County, Iowa and Betty (Art) Posusta of Tama; Tama County, Iowa, his brother: Roy (Anna) Caster of Union, Iowa, his sisters-in-law Ila and Ardis Caster as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. In death, Wayne rejoined his parents, his sister: Margaret Sanders and his brothers: Wendell (Janet) Caster, Jim and Ray (at 6 months of age). May they rest in peace. May God bless his memory and give strength to those that mourn. Visitation will be from: 9:00 a.m. until the service time at the church. Funeral services will begin at: 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday; August 23, 2011 at the Union Community Church with Pastor Rick Schill officiating. Interment will be at the Union Cemetery in Union; Hardin County, Iowa. Memorials in Wayne's honor may be directed to either the Union Pool Slide fund or Saint Henry's Catholic School in Marshalltown; Marshall County, Iowa.
