Description	:	Wayne S. Shively, 89, passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 in McPherson, Kan. He was born Sept. 9, 1925, in Ellsworth County, Kan. to H.C. and Mary Gertrude (Straley) Shively. Wayne was a longtime resident of the WaKeeney and Kanopolis, Kan. areas. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army as a member of the 80th Division in Germany and Czechoslovakia and the Circle C Cowboys Army of Occupation Constabulary. Read More	Wayne S. Shively, 89, passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 in McPherson, Kan. He was born Sept. 9, 1925, in Ellsworth County, Kan. to H.C. and Mary Gertrude (Straley) Shively. Wayne was a longtime resident of the WaKeeney and Kanopolis, Kan. areas. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army as a member of the 80th Division in Germany and Czechoslovakia and the Circle C Cowboys Army of Occupation Constabulary. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Great Bend, the American Legion Moore Post 197, VFW Randall Reid Post No. 3449 both of WaKeeney, and the National Rifle Association. Wayne married Emma Mae Campbell Sept. 28, 1949, in Ellsworth, Kan. She preceded him in death in 2010. He was also preceded in death by his parents; twin sisters, Marjory Splitter and Marie Hoss; sister, Nathalie Baker; brother, Donnie; and son, Francis. A memorial service is planned for 10 a.m. Monday, March 2, at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth, with burial following in the Buckeye Cemetery. Ellsworth Reporter
