Garretson, was born March 8, 1919 and departed this life June 25, 1922 aged 3 years, 3 mon. and 17 days. He leaves to mourn their loss his sorrowing father and mother , two brothers, Wayne and Loren, one sister Wilma, four grandparents and many relatives and friends. Altho' his stay with us was so short no doubt he fulfilled his mission and accomplished in that short period his life work. Jesus said, "A little child shall lead them, ‘ and surely he was a bit of heaven lent for a time that in his passing you might have a precious treasure over there- for where your treasure is there will by our heart be also. Wendell lived three happy years in the home, manifesting always a loving spirit, full of sunshine- the life and light of the home. Possessing activities of mind far beyond his years. Tho' of a retiring nature he lived people – he delighted in the beautiful – the flowers spoke a message of love to his soul. His stay made the lives of all in the home richer and stronger. Pure, innocent and fragrant without a moment's warning he was wafted gently away on the wings of the morning to the eternal home of our God, there to await the coming of his loved ones. We know God's way is best, altho' we do not understand- some day, up there, our God will tell us why. ‘Til then we will trust and abide. He is safe in the arms of Jesus, Safe from the world's temptations, Sin cannot harm him there. Free from all the blight of sorrow, Free from all doubts and fears We a few more trials,- We a few more tears. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Friends church conducted by the pastor Miss Baker. Interment in the Salem East Cemetery.
